The Traveller’s Rest- The Pen is Mightier Than the Sword.

Cartoonists across the world, including Australian David Pope, have flooded the internet with touching drawings to show support and solidarity for the victims of the Charlie Hebdo terrorism attack

“The pen is mightier than the sword.”

“Our own stories, words, expressions, thoughts, inner ideas are powerful. They speak volumes of truth that quoted Scripture verses could only dream of. Do not be silenced by preachers and sermons. Do not be silenced by pulpits and churches. Do not be silenced by leaders and so called Bible experts. Do not be silenced by doctrines and Scripture. These ‘swords’ of religion and man look to silence the inner you. Time for the pens to rise up.Come on you storytellers, satirists and songwriters. Come on you poets, bards and novelists. Come on you bloggers, tweeters and posters. Come on you artists, painters and sculptors. Come on you silenced member of churches, institutions and congregations. Come on you chatters, talkers and dreamers. Come on you singers, musicians and karaoke kings. Come on you cross dressers, you wild idea people and shy. May there be expression of you and no longer silence or reiteration of others. Our fundamental ‘terrorists’ can never win over the Divine you.”

This is so funny! I’ve just written in my journal after reading Chapt 19 of “We make the road by walking” ‘How do i protest gentle about the religiousity I see today?’ in response to Mclaren saying Jesus’ being baptised by John was him protesting at religiousity in his day – &you write this 🙂 esp after saying you werent going to post for a while. So so cool! C’mon!
&also I was thinking more writing.
Thanks for posting&the timing of it X
